Tampon “Lights”
These festive tampon “lights” will brighten up your tree, or add a cheery touch to a window or doorway.
Materials
- Non-applicator tampons like o.b. (smaller is better)
- Day-glo acrylic paints
- Spray on acrylic sealant
- Green fabric paint
- Green florist’s wire
- Wire coat hanger (for drying rack)
- Scissors
Instructions
Bend coat hanger into drying rack.
Spray tampons with acrylic sealant so paint won’t soak in and expand them.
When dry, paint them and hang on wire hanger drying rack. 
Paint base of tampon and string with green fabric paint, and hang to dry.
Cut florist’s wire to appropriate length and tie tampons onto the wire. Space evenly.
Twist wire once or twice around wire to secure in place.
Cut off remaining strings and put another coat of fabric paint over the knots to seal.
